Museums

Amsterdam has many excellent museums,the two most famous are The Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. Both are located at the museum quarter.


"The Night Watch" is one of the most famous works by Rembrandt it can be seen in The Rijksmuseum. To get an good impression on what the museum has to offer, take a look at the videoclip here.If you would like to find out more about Rembrandts life go and see the Rembrandt House. The artist lived in this house between 1639 and 1657. The van Gogh Museum has the biggest collection of paintings created by this Dutch master painter. The paintings tell the story of Van Goghs tragic life, from his start in the Netherlands to his brilliant time in France.
