De Appel is a centre for contemporary art which provides space for projects and research. Situated in the centre of Amsterdam, De Appel operates actively as part of an international network of art centers, museums and other exhibition venues.
De Appel is open to all the media currently being used or discovered in the field of visual art and its borderlands. The exhibitions at De Appel are accompanied by evening debates with artists and critics in reaction to recent films, video works and publications.
