Appel Foundation

De Appel is a centre for contemporary art which provides space for projects and research. Situated in the centre of Amsterdam, De Appel operates actively as part of an international network of art centers, museums and other exhibition venues.

De Appel is open to all the media currently being used or discovered in the field of visual art and its borderlands. The exhibitions at De Appel are accompanied by evening debates with artists and critics in reaction to recent films, video works and publications. In addition, the institute offers an international training for curators, the Curatorial Training Program. Well-known and less familiar artists from both the Netherlands and abroad are invited by De Appel to produce work for solo and group exhibitions.
